Double Heat Spreader Plates underfloor heating
This system is used for suspended floor projects with traditional timber or composite joist spacings where it is undesirable to add to the finished floor height.
The single piece aluminium spreader plates are fixed to the top of the joist, where it meets the structural floor deck, using small nails or staples. The pipe is then run into the preformed grooves of the panels which are designed to hold the pipe securely. A layer of insulation must be installed below the panels to prevent heat loss downwards and help direct the heat up into the room.
